Damage Types
Quick question on which type of damage i'm dealing. Some derv enchants and AoB change the type of damage you deal during melee, i.e. Dust Cloak, Staggering Force-Earth Damage; Avatar of Balthazar, Heart of Holy Flame-Holy Damage. My question is which type of damage am I dealing if I have DC and AoB at the same time? And when one of them ends, do I begin dealing the other type?

I'm pretty sure it's the enchant you cast the latest. So if you were in AoB and then you cast DC you will be doing earth damage. When DC ends, you will do holy damage again if AoB is still working. Correct me if I'm wrong.

One more question. If I'm using Ebon Dust Aura and Have an Ebon scythe (Earth Dmg) and Cast HoHF (Holy Dmg), do I still get the benefit of the earth damage to cause blind with EDA?

You shouldn't be using AoB or Heart of Holy Flame.....................

Well, pretty much all the damage converting skills are useless anyway. Even earth ones for EDA. Don't be cheap, just buy an ebon scythe - and free up a skill slot for something worthwhile.

only damage converting skills you should be using are Aura of holy might and AoM. and those are side-effects anyways.

omg i didn't say i was using any of those. i said "if". i was just curious about how the damage conversion worked. But i really do appreciate the input though everyone. Saves me testing time.

but those aren't the only types of damage you should have available... earth for ebon dust and fire for when teaming with a mark of rodgort/searing flames ellie group come to mind. And those aren't just side effects.
Knowing how these interact is pretty darn important methinks. |
